NAKHON PATHOM - Huge numbers of ducks blocked a rural road in Bang Len district as they left their  home farm in a "mass revolt" in search of food, and the incident was caught on camera and shared online .

The two-minute video clip was uploaded to YouLike, a video-sharing website, by Jack Saranthat on Saturday.

In the video, a car driver was seen complaining to a woman who was filming the incident that he was in a hurry to get to work, but his way was blocked huge numbers of ducks.

"I'm not sure why these ducks are in revolt. You can see the great mass of ducks swarming on the road. They have now occupied the area entirely," the man quipped.

There could be as many as a "hundred thousand" ducks blocking the road, he added.

He was referring to the so-called great mass uprising, or muan maha prachachon, of the People's Democratic Reform Committee (PDRC), led by former Democrat Party secretary-general Suthep Thaugsuban. The PDRC laid siege to Bangkok for about six months, beginning in November, to topple the Yingluck Shinawatra government.

 
According to Jack Saranthat, a farmer was taking the ducks to find food on the opposite side of the road.

Most netizens said they liked how the ducks were parading in an organised manner and that motorists were patient with the birds and did not run them over.
